Shape and Size: Oval-shaped with a narrow and pointed end. Color: Yellow when unripe, turning to brownish-yellow when fully ripe. Moisture: Approximately 14%, placing it in the category of semi-dry dates. Texture: Semi-dry with a firm texture and flesh relatively attached to the pit.

Cultivation Regions

Zahedi dates are cultivated in many southern regions of Iran, including:

Fars Province (Firuzabad, Kazerun), Khuzestan Province (Ahvaz, Khorramshahr), Bushehr Province (Dashtestan, Borazjan), and the counties of Qir and Karzin, Farashband, Lar, and Firuzabad.

This variety is also cultivated in other countries such as Iraq and the United States.

Harvest Time

Zahedi dates are harvested from late September to early autumn. This date is late-ripening and easily detaches from the tree when fully ripe.
